Holly's Bio:

Born: July 6, 1977 in Shelby, Ohio, USA

Hometown: Mansfield, Ohio, USA

After graduating from High School Holly attended Bowling Green State University with a major in Graphic Design but after two semesters switched to Fine Arts / Photography, although her passion is watercolor painting. Her artistic career came to a ten year halt when it was clearly stated by others that she could not make a career out of her art because she was not “talented” enough. She continued to paint on and off but never had the courage or confidence to show her finished pieces to anyone. In the summer of 2008, she moved to Great Falls, Montana from Cincinnati, Ohio to be closer to Rob Boone, her Canadian fiancé (now husband). While in Great Falls a job at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art became the opportunity of a lifetime. Her artistic passion was immediately rejuvenated. From the support and inspiration of her new friends and colleagues and the continued support of Rob she was able to gain the confidence needed to share her works with others – including her family. The response was overwhelmingly supportive. In August, 2009, Rob and Holly started their own fine art studio out of their home in Edmonton, Alberta. Polar Lights Art Studio was born! Creating art is her passion; it consumes and relaxes her. Life, to Holly, would not be complete unless she could create art.

130.JPGRob's Bio:

Born: October 22, 1971 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

Hometown: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Rob attended High School at Victoria School of the Arts in Edmonton. After High School he attended Grant MacEwan College as an Arts Administration major. He also worked in several art galleries around the city. Growing up in Edmonton was a great inspiration to him since the city has such an outstanding artistic community. After taking several years off from doing any type of art Rob met Holly. Her extreme passion for art renewed his creative energy and he began creating again. His passion for art stems from Pop Culture. He finds relaxation in creating humorous bright colored paintings in the style of Pop Art. Many of his pieces include intricate bead work which reflects Rob's patience and attention to detail.
